Like American muscle cars of the past, four- and five-speed Harleys have a 1"1 ratio in top gear. The new BAKER Six-Speed Overdrive lowers top gear ratio to .86.

What does this mean to you? On a typical bike with a 32/70 pulley arrangement it turns 3,398 rpm at 75 MPH. with the overdrive reduction it will turn only 2,923 rpm. That means less vibration, less wear and tear, and better fuel economy.

The BAKER Six-Speed Overdrive features an improved shift system over the stock 5-speed. The shift drum fork pin grooves have been engineered for more exact shifts, the plunger/compression spring detent system has been upgraded with a roller/torsion spring for smoother shifts, and the dynamic load rating of the shift drum bearings has been increased 100% for improved radial loading characteristics.
