The 2nd Annual Ride to End Hunger is a charity motorcycle ride
to raise money for the Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen (D.E.S.K.)
located in New Haven, Connecticut (all proceeds go directly to
the soup kitchen). D.E.S.K. serves hot evening meals 5 days a
week, provides bag lunches for the working poor, and runs a
weekly food pantry. All services are free to those in need.
Registration the day of the event, Sunday, September 16, 2007
will begin at 11 a.m. at Sports Haven located off I-95 in New
Haven. The ride will begin promptly at 1 p.m. and take a 55-mile
route through rural and shoreline Connecticut. The ride will end
at the Stillwater American Bistro in New Haven. A barbecue
lunch, raffle prizes and vendors will be available at the end of
