Why be normal?  No one will ever accuse you of that after they see you back up to the curb on a FAT-A-TUDE Rigid (even if you are a mild-mannered reporter).  Built for strength, the backbone is mad from 1 1/2" DOM tubing that has 3/16" wall thickness, and the rest of the tubing measures 1 1/8" O.D. with a .129" wall thickness. These frames are TIG welded on all new hardened and ground tooling for the most accurate fit possible.  The main frame is like our standard rigid style frame, but that's where all similarity ends.  The tail section has been engineered to accept Avon's 230/60H15 Roadranger rear tire and still run a standard 1 1/2" width rear belt drive.  This 230mm rear tire mounted on a 7" wide rim yields approximately 9 1/4" of jaw dropping rubber under the rear fender.  Due to the massive size of the rear tire used with this FAT-A-TUDE frame, a 1" wide inner primary cover to engine spacer must be used.  A one inch offset engine sprocket or pulley is also reuired.  Use with the ignition coil mount of your choice.  Due to the tail section offset, custom exhaust such as our 2 1/4" O.D. Samson brand will work if a mount is fabricated.  These frames are designed to be used with an Evolution style Big Twin engine with up to .200" taller cylinders and still be able to access the rear rocker cover without having to pull the whole engine from the frame.  Uses stock size rubber mounted Softail oil tank 1984/1999, Softail rear brake Late 1987/1999, flatside Fat Bob gas tanks, 5 speed solid mount transmission and a Softail style seat 1984/1999. A Softail style upper rear belt guard can also be used.  Our Sturgis Smoothie style wheel 51987 or  our Sturgis Vision style 51988 fit these frames.  Available in 30° OEM rake with no stretch in the front down tubes and the 38° rake with 2" stretch in the front down tubes.  All FAT-A-TUDE frames include a Manufacturer's Statement of Origin.
